What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. When you search — whether by voice, text, or photo — we store the query, the results returned, and how long the search took, so we can improve relevance over time. If you sign in, that search history is linked to your account; anonymous searches are not. When you save an item to your wishlist or set a price alert, we store the product details and your target price so we can email you when it drops.
How we use it
Your email is used to authenticate you and to send price-alert notifications you’ve explicitly requested. Search history helps us understand what people are looking for and improve how we parse and match queries. Voice and photo searches are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to be interpreted into a structured search — we don’t retain the audio or image itself beyond what’s needed to process that single request.
We don’t sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes. Full stop.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run KartLuxe: Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (query parsing), Resend (price-alert emails), and Vercel (hosting). Each only receives the data required to perform its function, under its own data-processing terms. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer’s own privacy policy governs the purchase.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time — just email us and we’ll action it. Deleting your account removes your wishlist, alerts, and the link between you and your past searches.
Cookies
We use only the essential cookies Supabase sets to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
